What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The endocannabinoid system runs throughout your entire body and contains receptors for cannabinoids. This is believed to be due to our own endogenous cannabinoids anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglyerol (2-AG for short).

These endocannabinoids as well as those found in hemp bind with different levels of effectiveness to these cannabinoid receptors known as CB1 and CB2. This is how different strains of hemp can have such a wide range of effects depending on their interaction with one of these receptors, or both. Different cannabinoids have different ways of binding to these receptors leading some to be much more psychoactive than others. As a recreational supplier of cannabinoid rich products we can only speak to their ability to get you high.

Generally speaking this is the reason why THC-O and THCP are much more psychoactive than Delta 9 THC. THCP for example has been shown in studies to have up to 33x better binding abilities with your endocannabinoid receptors than delta 9 THC.For a more scientific breakdown of the eCS check out this article from Harvard.
