What is cottonmouth?

Cottonmouth is the sensation you get when you use cannabinoids and you are also dehydrated. Cannabinoids have a way of making the symptoms of dehydration more noticeable by drying out your mucosal membranes thereby making it nearly impossible for your body to produce enough saliva to adequately moisten your mouth.

No fear, this can actually be seen as a good thing if you were not previously aware of your body’s need for additional water. Once you’ve quenched your thirst your saliva levels will return to normal, and if they do not its a sign that you may have taken too much and be headed for a weed nap.
